Mahindra has launched two new segments of vehicles under one name- the Supro Van and the Supro Maxitruck at Rs 4.38 lakh and Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-Thane) respectively. The Supro Van is an eight-seater diesel MPV which will be used for commercial applications and the Supro Maxitruck is a LCV with a rated hauling capacity of One Tonne.
The Supro Van will comes in three trims- VX is the base trim, LX gets power steering and the top of the line ZX trim gets power steering as well as AC. Under the hood is a direct injection (DI) turbo diesel engine that produces 45PS and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra claims a fuel-efficiency of 23.5kmpl. The Supro Van comes with a choice of three colour options- Lake Side Brown, Deep Warm Blue and Diamond White.
The Supro Maxitruck is also available in three trims, T2, which is the base trim, T4 with power steering and the top spec T6 trim that gets power steering and an Air Conditioner. The powertrain is the similar to the unit if the Supro Van with a claimed fuel-efficiency of of 22.4kmpl and a top speed of 95kmph. and it can carry one tonne of load on its 8.2-feet of cargo box. It gets three paint schemes- Metallic Red, Deep Warm Blue and Diamond White. The Supro Maxitruck will compete against the Tata Ace, Mahindra Maxximo and Ashok Leyland.
